Collection: Can-Am Clutch Kits

Your Can-Am Maverick X3 came out of the factory tuned to survive every rider, every terrain, and every tire size at once — which means it was never actually tuned for yours. Whether you're running stock power or a turbo kit, the right clutch setup is what decides whether that power actually gets to the ground.

Why Your X3's Stock Clutching Holds You Back

The factory QRS primary and secondary clutches are a compromise by design: conservative engagement, early backshifting, and flyweights heavy enough to survive a lifetime of abuse. That's great for warranty claims and terrible for performance. The result is belt slip at high speed, sluggish throttle response, and a clutch that fights your tires and terrain instead of working with them.

Ibexx builds clutch kits specifically matched to how and where you actually ride your X3 — not a one-size-fits-all setup.

Which X3 Clutch Kit Is Right for You?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a different clutch kit if I've added a turbo or ECU tune?

Yes. More power changes how hard and how fast your clutch needs to engage to put that power down without slipping the belt. Our QRS Big Turbo Clutching kit is built specifically for turbo/tuned X3s — a clutch kit sized for stock power will hold a turbo build back.

What's the difference between the Dirt, Crawler, and Duner series?

They're built around terrain and elevation, not one being "better" than another. Dirt Series suits fast, open desert riding on tires up to 33". Crawler Series is tuned for slow, technical rock crawling on 35"+ tires. Duner Series is built for high-elevation riding where thinner air changes how your engine makes power.

Will a clutch kit fit my tire size?

Tire size is one of the main factors in which kit is right for you — bigger tires change your effective gearing, and a kit tuned for stock tires will feel bogged down once you size up. Check each product page for tire size guidance, or reach out if you're not sure which series fits your setup.

Can I install this myself?

Most Ibexx clutch kits are a bolt-in job for anyone comfortable with basic wrenching. A primary clutch puller and spring compression tool make the job significantly easier — both available in our Can-Am tools collection.
